For all levels. Classes begin with breath work and afterwards there will be group instructions through sun salutations, standing, seated, and finishing postures as time allows. Sometimes we explore and challenge the Astanga vinyasa sequence of postures; other times we follow the classical sequence. We generally focus on building a deeper understanding of your yoga practice rather than the number of postures performed.
To find a class that suits your mood, energy level, and yoga experience you can follow these guidelines:
Ashtanga, gentle: Focus on technique and plenty of time for sun salutations and standing postures. The classes are well suited for you if you are a beginner or have some experience with Astanga. More experienced students interested in working at a tranquil pace and with precision are also welcome.
Ashtanga: More flow and less technique than "Astanga, gentle". In addition to sun salutations and standing postures, we guide seated postures as much as time allows. The classes are well suited both if you feel like a beginner and have some experience from "Astanga, gentle" classes (we assume that you are familiar with the ujjayi breath) and if you are more experienced. You like to be challenged and enjoy a practice with some intensity.
