4-dags 'adjustment' workshop - "Observe, connect, transform"

The assists you remember are the ones that speak to you precisely where you are. There is no cookie cutter method that applies universally to all people in all situations. Being with people in the context of yoga is like being with people during their evolutionary process. It changes and evolves. Listening is the first step in any relationship. In this workshop, you learn how to stop and listen to the body and, in the simplest way, connect deeply with yourself and others while practicing. You will be able to integrate and share what you sense and see in a way that has one aim - a positive and human transformation of the practice and general health for yourself and others.

With the intention of informing your own practice, you will learn basic functional anatomy for the moving body through guided hands on explorations of the architectural structure of your body. We guide you towards an enhanced sense of kinesthetic listening and into your physical ability to communicate. You will learn tools to read the body and its energy pathways and how to read inefficient movement patterns. You will learn the essential assists for most asanas and different body types and levels. We will cover the adjustments used in Ashtanga yoga's primary series and is open to all.

2-dags weekend workshop

Through an in-depth technical exploration of the moving body you will learn how Ashtanga’s mind-body-breath connection integrates and synthesizes the potential of the body in motion. During the course of the weekend you will be introduced to fundamental tools that will heighten your sensory awareness and concentration, build strength and flexibility, and enhance your well-being. You will gain an understanding of how an anatomicaly correct use of your body frees your energies and enhances your natural movement potential.

  • 14:30-17:30 Seminar: "The antigravity class"
    If you think you'll never be able to really lift up or if you want to take your lifting up to a new level, this class if for you. This class integrates the illusive bandha work with jumping through and jumping back in a way that is accessible for everyone. By using natural and scientific principles, like gravity, weight distribution, and mind-body connection, you will gain a new understanding of the potential for natural strength in your body. You will leave this workshop with tools you can apply to your practice to train your body and mind to reach a new level of strength, presence and awareness.

  • 14:30-17:30 Seminar: "Flexibility, backbending and hip opening"
    Develop and use your meditative state to access natural flexibility, core support and powerful focus. Learn what it really means to "bend your back", anatomically, emotionally and physically. You will begin to delve into the spine and explore its relationship to the whole body, the earth, the legs and your mind. Build a direct relationship to your deepest potential for opening through passive stretching exercises, emotional release and creative visualization.

Om Kino MacGregor og Tim Feldmann

Kino og Tim er medstiftere af Miami Life Center i Florida, USA.

Kino er certificeret af Sri K. Pattabhi Jois til at undervise i Ashtanga yoga. Hun har gennemført tredje serie med Guruji og Sharath i Mysore og giver workshops rundt omkring i Europa og USA. Kino er også life coach og Ph.D. studerende i holistisk ernæring og har en Master's Degree fra New York University. Læs mere på Ashtanga Awareness.

Tim er autoriseret af Sri K. Pattabhi Jois til at undervise i Ashtanga yoga. Han er udøver af tredje serie og dedikeret til Ashtanga yogaens traditionelle metode. Tim integrerer i sin undervisning indsigt i Alexander teknik, siddende meditation og pranayama med 20 års erfaring som professionel danser og internationalt anerkendt koreograf. Hans dybdegående viden om funktionel anatomi, 'alignment' og om kroppen og sindet i bevægelse og i stilhed er fundamentet for hans forståelse af Ashtanga yogaen. Læs mere på Yoga Joy.
 

Deltagere

Alle er velkomne og kan få gavn af workshoppen, både begyndere med lidt kendskab til Ashtanga yoga og mere rutinerede deltagere.

På hverdagene bør deltagere med en lang praksis melde sig til gruppe 1; deltagere med en kortere praksis kan vælge frit mellem gruppe 1 og 2. I weekenden bør deltagere med erfaring med 'self practice' være med på Mysore klasserne; mindre erfarne yogaudøvere kan deltage på guidede klasser.

Pris og booking

Du kan vælge mellem følgende muligheder:

1. Fuld workshop, tirsdag-søndag: 3.600 kr. (ca. 480 euros)
2. 2-dags weekend workshop, lørdag-søndag: 1.600 kr.
3. 4-dags 'adjustment' workshop inkl. morgenpraksis, tirsdag-fredag: 2.400 kr.
4. Hverdags-morgenpraksis, tirsdag-fredag: 1.000 kr.
