4-dags 'adjustment intensive'


Tirsdag-fredag, 11-14. september 2012 

  • 06:30-08:30* Mysore praksis

    Hvis denne gruppe bliver fyldt, vil en anden Mysore gruppe praktisere 07:30-09:15*
  • 11:00-15:00 Adjustment clinic for teachers & seasoned students

    In these seminars for teachers and students you will learn how to approach some key postures in the Ashtanga yoga primary series including lotus, hip opening, the seated postures, twisting, Supta Kurmasama, extensions of the spine and backbending. You can only share what you directly experience so the process of teaching, assisting and guiding students includes your personal level of awareness. While there is cookie cutter method that applies universally to all people in all situations, in these seminars (Tuesday-Friday) you will experiment with communicating through hands-on assists during your teaching and during your yoga practice.

* Du kan gå tidligere, hvis du er færdig med din praksis. Men starttiderne er 06:30 og evt. 07:30 (kortere praksis). Dørene åbner 10 minutter før.

  • 17:00-20:00 Seminar: Build your foundation - The standing postures

    By developing a conscious use of our legs during the standing asanas we learn advantageous alignment principles that prevent pain and facilitate healthy range of motion. Through detailed analysis and fun partner work you will feel how your legs are your connection to the power center in your pelvis and to the Earth below. The standing postures are perhaps the most healing series of movements in the Ashtanga practice. When done with healthy alignment these humble series of postures build your foundation, connection to the ground and sense of inner awareness. In this seminar learn how the structural foundation for forward bends, inversions and deep hip opening work is set up in the standing series of Ashtanga yoga. Gain a new found appreciation for this foundational work of yoga!

    Break a sweat while learning to safely balance on your hands, have fun while challenging yourself and gain access to your own inner strength. The magic of the arm balance is demystified and made approachable so that every practitioner who is not afraid to put in the work can feel the beauty of flight. When done correctly arm balances can build self-esteem, increase energy flow and heal old injuries. Every student will leave with proven techniques to safely build the structural support necessary for stability in all strength based postures.

  • 13:30-16:30 Seminar: Sthira sukham & backbending

    Develop your 'sthirasukha', your firmness and comfort, for success and health in your yoga. The practice starts with the right state of mind. Cultivating your approach to your practice determines your success. We will look at what it takes to really bend over backwards with no fear. The secrets of deep backbends are available to you through the integration of sound anatomical principles, healthy alignment techniques and intense stretches. The dynamic movement mechanics of bending your spine are the key to an enhanced flow of energy and in this class you will begin to explore you natural potential for deep backbends with safety, support and enthusiasm. The workshop aims at developing tools to a personal and balanced practice.

Om Kino MacGregor og Tim Feldmann

Kino MacGregor is one of a select group of people to receive the certification to teach Ashtanga yoga by its founder Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. The youngest woman to hold this title, she has completed the challenging third series and is learning the fourth series. In 2006, she and her husband Tim Feldmann founded Miami Life Center, where they teach workshops and intensives together in addition to maintaining an international traveling and teaching schedule. Miami Life Center is a community built around yoga, holistic health and consciousness on Miami Beach, Florida. Kino has produced five Ashtanga yoga DVDs (Kino MacGregor – A Journey, A Workshop; Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series; Ashtanga Yoga Intermediate Series; Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga; Ashtanga Yoga Third Series), an Ashtanga yoga practice card and a podcast on yoga. She is currently working her first book.


Kino is dedicated to carrying the torch of Ashtanga yoga throughout the world and sharing the amazing tradition of Ashtanga yoga with everyone who is inspired to practice. In her unique, inspirational and playful approach Kino helps all her students expand and deepen their understanding of yoga and life. Yoga found its expression through her message of spiritual strength, balanced flexibility and emotional peace. Passionate about the environment, Kino pledges a monthly donation to Go Zero! to make her heavy travel schedule carbon neutral. Tim is authorised by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois to teach Ashtanga yoga. He is a practitioner of the third series and dedicated to the traditional method of Ashtanga yoga. Tim's teaching integrates his studies of Alexander Technique, sitting meditation and pranayama with 20 years of experience as a professional dancer and an internationally acclaimed choreographer. His in-depth knowledge of functional anatomy, alignment as well as the body and mind in stillness and in motion creates the platform upon which his under-standing of the Ashtanga practise rests. Alle Ashtanga yoga udøvere kan have glæde af at deltage i weekend workshoppen, både begyndere med lidt erfaring med Ashtanga yoga og mere rutinerede elever. Du behøver ikke praktisere hele første serie for at deltage - bare medbring et åbent sind og lyst til at eksperimentere! Den 4-dags 'adjustment intensive' er for øvede elever såvel som lærere. Dvs. du behøver ikke være yogalærer eller have lyst til at blive yogalærer for at få gavn og glæde af dette intensive kursus, da det også har til formål at styrke din personlige praksis.
