Om yoga nidra

Yoga nidra er en af de mest transformative, kraftfulde og bemærkelsesværdigt tilpasningsdygtige af alle yogapraksisser. Yoga nidra er faktisk ikke en enkelt praksis, men snarere en oplevelse af forandrede bevidsthedstilstande, i bund og grund en meditativ oplevelse som kan bruges terapeutisk til helbredelse såvel som til at forøge kreativitet og produktivitet og til at forbedre din søvn og dit helbred generelt.
 

Om dette "foundation course"

Denne "Total yoga nidra open access foundation weekend" er et selvstændigt og afrundet fordybelseskursus og åbent for alle, der ønsker at opleve Total yoga nidra. Det er både et komplet kursus i sig selv, der beskæftiger sig med alle Total yoga nidras grundelementer, og samtidig er deltagelse på et "foundation course" en nødvendig forudsætning for dig, der gerne vil gå videre med den fulde "Total yoga nidra teacher training" (se nedenfor). Hensigten med denne weekend er at tilbyde en tilgængelig og samtidig dybdegående oplevelse, hvor alle, der har oplevet ingen, begrænsede eller delvise former af yoga nidra praksissen, kan møde det fulde spektrum af praksisser og tilgange til yoga nidra. Total yoga nidra.


Indhold i "foundation course"
Gennem en kombination af teori og praksis får (eller udbygger) du dels en solid, velunderstøttet forståelse for, hvad yoga nidra er i den bredeste forstand, og for hvordan yoga nidra virker; dels vil du møde 'live' yoga nidraer i mange varianter og opleve, hvordan yoga nidra kan tilpasses særlige behov. Weekenden rummer:

  1. Baggrundshistorie og udvikling af yoga nidra
  2. Sammenligning af strukturer og tilgange til yoga nidra
  3. Kort oversigt over forskning i effekter af og fordele ved yoga nidra
  4. Den filosofiske ramme for yoga nidra
  5. Tips til egen praksis
  6. Faldgruber for din egen praksis
  7. Nøglestillinger fra restorativ yoga til brug for yoga nidra
  8. Paralleller/overlap: relaterede praksisser f. eks. Vipassana, MBSR, mindfulness, autogen træning
  9. Introduktion til udforskning af yoga nidra i forbindelse med drømme, søvn og vågen tilstand ("lucid dreaming", "lucid living")
  10. Yoga nidra og meditation (udforskning af pratyahara og dharana)
  11. Yoga nidra og sankalpa (udforksning af målsætning og hensigt)

Kurset indeholder 10 kontakttimer med undervisning plus frivillig opgave i form af 20 minutters yoga nidra praksis derhjemme pr. dag. Hvis du også tilmelder dig den fulde "Total yoga nidra teacher training" (se nedenfor), vil du desuden modtage en 30 minutters individuel konsultation med henblik på at skabe en individualiseret praksis særligt for dig. 

Om "Total yoga nidra teacher training course": Denne uddannelse (inkl. 40 kontakttimer fordelt over 6 dage og to weekender med tid derimellem til praksis og hjemmeopgaver) er for alle, der ønsker at lære at undervise yoga nidra til grupper eller enkeltpersoner. Om Uma Dinsmore-Tuli

Uma was first introduced to yoga at the age of four by her mother and began meditating at nine on a pilgrimage with her maternal grandmother. Yoga and meditation have been part of her daily life ever since. As a naturally curious and enquiring yogini, she has engaged passionately and critically with a variety of quite different schools of yoga, and yoga therapy most especially Structural Yoga Therapy, Satyananda Yoga and Iyengar Yoga. After completing the Yoga Biomedical Trust Diploma in Yoga Therapy in 1999, Uma has continued to find the fully integrated approach of yoga therapy to be the most practical route to the healing power of yoga. She further trained in Structural Yoga Therapy and Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy with Mukunda Stiles, and works as a yoga therapist with special expertise in women's health. Uma has a PhD in Communications and is a recognised teacher of the British Wheel of Yoga. She has been a training tutor in Yoga Therapy since 2001 and also teaches British Wheel of Yoga In-service training days.

 

As a mother of three, she has been both personally and professionally engaged with the development of pregnancy yoga, yoga for birth and postnatal recovery, and family yoga, and has been training teachers in this field since 2002, when she first tutored for the Birthlight Trust. Since then she has delighted in creating her own courses to promote excellence of teaching in this field, including Well Woman Yoga and a uniquely responsive Integrated Mother and Baby yoga teacher training. With the intention of widening access to pregnancy and postnatal yoga, she founded Sitaram Yoga with her husband in 1998, and it continues to offer pregnancy and postnatal yoga classes in London, including at Kings and St Thomas's hospitals.

The heart of Uma's daily personal and therapeutic practice is yoga nidra, which she believes to be the most powerfully transformative of all yoga techniques. She first encountered the technique at the Satyananda Yoga centre in 1995, and has been exploring all aspects of it with fascination ever since. She has studied a variety of different approaches to the practice both in India and the UK, with nationally renowned exponents including Swami Muktidharma (Satyananda Acharya, New Zealand), Mukunda Stiles, and Richard Miller. She has refined a range of particularly feminine therapeutic applications of yoga nidra, including its use for the promotion of fertility, positive birthing, postnatal recovery and conscious menstrual health a source of spiritual empowerment. She has taught yoga nidra to hundreds of people, in every conceivable environment, from nursery schools, hospitals and airports, to giant geodesic domes filled with yogis sheltering from wild storms at yoga festivals and gatherings. She has been sharing the technique with teachers from all lineages on Yoga Therapy training courses and retreats since 1999.

Uma leads retreats and courses worldwide, sharing the approach to yoga therapy set out in her CDs, DVDs and books, including Sitaram mother nurture yoga - Gentle yoga for the transition to motherhoodYoga for pregnancy and birthSimply calmMother's breathFeel confident - Yoga for living, and Yoni shakti. Uma is currently refining Womb yoga through a series of international workshops and retreats.


Before yoga and mothering took over her life completely, Uma spent seven years as a journalist and ten years working as a lecturer, tutor and course designer in higher education. She draws on her experience as writer, educator and mother to create positive learning experiences and high standards of teaching, training, appraisal and support on all her courses.
 

Om Nirlipta Tuli
Nirlipta Tuli, founder and co-partner of Sitaram Partnership and Sitaram and Sons Limited, was retired from work on medical grounds for some years. He has devoted much of his time to an in-depth series of recuperative and meditative practices focusing amongst other areas on: insomnia and sleep related issues; enhanced approaches to creativity; lucid dreaming; dealing with stress; extreme relaxation; enhancing productivity for individuals and groups; helping people who want to stop smoking to stop; weight management; pain related issues. 

He offers mentoring and pastoral care to students on the yoga nidra training course and to other yoga teachers and hypnotherapists. Until his abbreviated retirement Nilripta worked as a registered clinical hypnotherapist. He trained at the London College of Clinical Hypnotherapy and is a full member of the British Society for Clinical Hypnotherapy. He is also an associate member of the British Association of Clinical Psychotherapy. He has specialist training in perinatal hypnotherapy (clinical hypnotherapy for childbirth, and for the pre and post natal period). The heart of his unique hypnotherapy practice developed a specialised approach to perinatal hypnotherapy, including work with birth trauma resolution and the release of fears and anxieties around childbirth. 

He has been practicing yoga for nearly twenty five years and teaching yoga since 1990. He has yoga teaching diplomas from three different yoga teacher training organisations (Bihar School of Yoga, British Wheel of Yoga and Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres). Nirlipta has completed the British Wheel of Yoga module in pregnancy yoga, and has undertaken further training in yoga therapy (including management of lower back pain, and yoga for women's health) and the health and safety aspects of yoga teaching. He has particular expertise in teaching yoga practices for positive mental health, stress relief and relaxation. Nirlipta also holds an MA in Indian Religion and Philosophy from the School of Oriental and African Studies.
